SJAI proudly announces the launch of its new tug boat, Cavalo Marinho 16, and barge, Metro 16, as part of its ongoing commitment to enhancing its maritime capabilities for the transportation of solid bulk cargo. The official launch took place on March 25, 2024.
The Cavalo Marinho 16 is a robust and efficient tug boat, measuring 29 meters in length and 8.6 meters in width. Designed to meet the demanding needs of modern maritime operations, it ensures superior performance and reliability.
Complementing the Cavalo Marinho 16 is the Metro 16, a versatile barge measuring 91.5 meters in length and 24.4 meters in width. The Metro 16 is specifically designed to transport solid bulk cargo, with a capacity of up to 8,000 metric tons. This addition to the fleet will significantly enhance SJAI’s ability to transport large quantities of solid bulk efficiently and safely.
